Chris Roelen

Chris studied economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam (1991– 1998). As a research assistant at the Institute for Sociological Economic Research he wrote his master thesis about Employer Branding. Afterwards (2005-2007) he graduated with a master degree for Corporate Communication at the Rotterdam School of Management.

Recently Chris worked on launching two impact investors; Invest-NL in 2020 en Invest International in 2021. Before he headed complex data-driven digital transformation programs and the national introduction of NL-Alert.

He also worked for corporate clients like Shell and Akzo Nobel, social enterprises such as VSBfonds and Rutgers and for several Dutch Ministeries. He started his career as a management trainee at ORMIT (1999).

Chris is also active as a (supervisory) board member. He is a member of the MIND Supervisory Board (2019) and a board member of MIND Us! (2022).

His branding/marketing/communication experience includes building and leading (new) teams, departments and programs, strategic positioning, multi-stakeholder engagement, branding, media relations, online, risk- and crisis management.
